Spring Break 2017 took us to Cuba for my #23 trip and what a trip it was! Cuba is amazing and I highly recommend going before more western influence hits this island country. The poverty is there. The propaganda is there. The lack of resources is obvious. The people were amazing. The food was outstanding. The weather was warm. The water undrinkable. It was a trip that made my students truly appreciate everything they have. It helped them understand the Cubans and their ideology a bit more...and isn't that the best result of travel?!!? To discover more about your own lands while discovering and understanding another land, culture and people!?!? Besides Delta trying to way-lay our trip on our way home, all-in-all it was an amazing success!!
