Day 10: Our last day

We slept in a bit today, went to the market near the hotel for some last minute shopping, packed up our bags and off we went. We headed into wine country, but it's winter so not much on the vines. We stopped at a winery for a tasting, but we did teas and chocolates...which were very delicious!! Along our drive, we stopped at the prison where Mandela was released. It was from this prison where he went to the city hall to give his speech.
We then headed to this cute town for lunch and shopping. The South African countryside near Cape Town is absolutely stunning. One last stop and then to the airport we went. Our flight was at 11pm, so we had plenty of time to change into our brown shirts, eat dinner, and spend the last of our Rands.
It's a long travel day ahead of us...11.5 hrs from Cape Town to Amsterdam,  8.5 from Amsterdam to Minneapolis...5.5 hrs in Minneapolis and then our flight to Moline.
Almost 30 hrs of travel...pray for us & wish us the best!!!
