It’s our last day in London. While it feels like we’ve been here
forever, the time has gone quick. Another 7+mile walking day…and we were on a
bus for a few hours. The morning started
off with the Tower of London. We headed straight to the Crown Jewels…wow! The kids did some wandering into the torture
chambers, the armory, and the walls overlooking the Thames. Got some classic
Tower Bridge pics before grabbing lunch.
Many went for some classic Fish & Chips. We then headed to meet our local guide, Eleanor
who showed us her amazing city for 3 hours.
We did some hop-on, hop-off at Westminster/Parliament as well as St. Paul’s Cathedral. We ended with a walk over the Millennium
Bridge...which then brought our funny of
the day. Just as some of the kids
noticed some birds flying overhead and yelled ‘Watch out!’, a couple of the
kids got ‘hit’ by the birds. Needless to
say, it was the funniest yet grossest memory of the day!!!
After dinner, we headed back to Trafalgar Square and had some quality
free time to do some last minute shopping before we head to Paris tomorrow.
I think the kids have really enjoyed London, have learned how to
navigate the Tube system, and are getting along well. We’ve had amazing weather and have done a TON
of stuff already…and we still have a few more countries to go!!
Next post will be from France, so until then…
