Day 5: Welcome to Paris!!

Today we packed our bags and headed across the Channel to Paris!  We took the Eurostar train, which took 2 ¼ hrs to go from London to Paris.  Most of the kids slept most of the time, and missed the 30 minutes in the Chunnel.  We arrived in Paris, loaded our luggage into a hotel van, and downtown we went.  First stop, Latin Quarter and Notre Dame!  I think the kids spent 30-45 minutes in the Cathedral, awed at the architecture and stained glass windows. We then headed for dinner. Next stop, Trocadero…and the Eiffel Tower!!! We pretty much took pics for 20 minutes while dodging the persistent street vendors. We walked down to the Eiffel Tower and had planned to take a boat ride tonight, but there were issues with the boat, so we’ll go back tomorrow night.  We took some time, grabbed some ice cream, and then headed back to hotel.
Tomorrow is a great day as we do a city tour with a local guide and then head out to the Palace of Versailles, and hopefully ending with a boat cruise.

We also send our CONGRATS to the Lady Spartans who are State Runners-Up in Soccer!  What an amazing season ladies!! Way to represent PV proudly!

Until the next post…
