Day 6: Paris, Versailles, a boat & a tower

Sorry I didn’t get blogged yesterday…was completely exhausted and couldn’t keep my eyes open to blog. So, while I await the arrival of my soccer player Jenna, I will blog about yesterday.
Today we saw it all…or pretty darn close.  We boarded the bus and did a city tour with our local guide, going past Notre Dame, Arc de Triumphe, Eiffel Tower, Invalides, all over the city.   We then headed about an hour out of town to Versailles.  We sadly had to split our group so that half went into the Palace first while the other group did the gardens & lunch and then we flip-flopped.  We added a photo challenge to the split as to which group got the best kid group shot.  Hands were shaken and off we went.  I cannot reveal the pics yet as the judges have not judged them, but winners get gelato from the losers.
Afterwards, we headed back into Paris and had some free time along the Champs Elysees…and there was some shopping. J
Next up was dinner and then we headed for our Boat Cruise up the Seine.  We were then surprised by our Tour Director as he obtained tickets up the Eiffel Tower afterwards. So, we hustled on over and got to see part of sunset from the Tower.  It was freezing up there, but the kids were just elated all the pieces came together.
Another fantastic day in Paris…we’re all a bit tired, so a long bus ride on Tuesday to Switzerland will be fantastic…and much needed.

Until the next post…
